Welcome to my Insanity fit test results page! In addition to my fit test results, I will also be using this page to keep track of my body measurements, taken every time I complete a new fit test. I will do my best to update this page immediately after every fit test, but please don’t hold it against me if it takes a couple of days to get online. I plan to use this information along with my before and after pictures to track my progress with the Insanity workout.

June 9 Update – Final Fit Test #

I have made huge progress on my fit tests. Ok, in fairness there wasn’t much improvement in the globe jumps, but don’t forget that each of those is actually four jumps so I really did 48 jumps! I think that is awesome considering the first day I only did 28.

Also it feels really good on some of these when I hear Tanya and Josh’s results from their final test and see that I was able to do so many more than them. Of course on some I am still way behind, but saw huge improvement nonetheless.

I have also seen some real changes in my body measurements as well. To start, I have lost 10 pounds over the past two months! This is in addition to significant inches lost across my chest, waist, hips and butt. I had some difficulty getting consistent measurements on my biceps, thighs and calfs, but I have listed them below regardless.

Oh yeah, one more thing… For at least the past 7 years I have been at a weight/BMI that indicated overweight or obese. With a current BMI of 24.3, I am finally at a normal, healthy weight for my age and height!

I am back to a normal, healthy weight!

My Body Measurements #

All measurements are taken three times and averaged. So that it is clear how I am taking these measurements, I have created a short guide below:

  • Weight is taken on a basic, digital scale immediately after waking. I allow the scale to turn off and reset before taking each measurement.
  • Chest measurement is taken at the nipple line across the front and at the base of my shoulder blades across the back.
  • Bicep measurements are taken at the peak of my flexed bicep.
  • Waist measurement is taken 2 inches above the bellybutton, parallel to the ground while standing upright.
  • Hip measurement is taken 2 inches below the belly button, also parallel to the ground while standing upright.
  • Butt measurement is taken while standing upright, parallel to the ground at the widest part of the butt.
  • Thigh measurements is taken halfway between the groin and the pit of my knee, parallel to the ground while standing upright.
  • Calf measurements is taken at the peak of my calf, while sitting in a relaxed position with my leg bent at 90 degrees and resting on the floor.
  • Heart rate is taken about 30 minutes after waking, from a seated position and measured over a full 60 seconds for accuracy.
  • BMI based on this calculator from the Center for Disease Control website.

Some of these measurements were not taken for the first time until day 15, as indicated by a double asterisk (**) below.
